For the Empty Nester

If you find yourself with extra space and spare rooms in the house, it’s a great time to consider repurposing rooms/space.

There’s no point in rooms lying empty and unused and while you may want to keep a bed/sofa bed for guests etc. these rooms can easily be repurposed as home offices or more popularly, dressing rooms! Alternatively, you may want to transform bedrooms into fabulous guest rooms for when you may be welcoming family or friends to stay.

If you decide on a guest room but don’t want a full renovation, there are a few features you could change to refresh the space.

Upgrading your lighting is a great way to instantly lift a room. LED lighting behind headboards/mirrors can be particularly striking, while lamps or softer lighting add ambience and warmth.

Floating units/bedside drawers also add a contemporary look and are easily built around beds/TVs suspended on the wall.

Dressing rooms are also proving very popular these days, while they provide a more luxurious way to get ready, they are also great for keeping unnecessary clutter out of your bedroom!

No matter what the space, we can create bespoke fitted units to cater to your every need, with options for both hanging and folding clothes and storing your bags, shoes and accessories. Depending on the space you have, you may choose to incorporate a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room area in your master bedroom – stay tuned for our top tips on this, coming soon!
